In 2024, Stables Photography Studios celebrated 10 years of capturing memories, milestones and muddy paws across Monmouthshire and South Wales. It’s been a truly wonderful journey – filled with laughter, emotion and the joy of watching families grow.
After a fantastic decade in the heart of Abergavenny, we made the decision to move our portrait photography studio to a new home. We’re now based at Llanover Business Centre, just a few minutes outside town, with easy access, peaceful surroundings and plenty of free parking. The location may have changed – but the heart of what we do hasn’t.
A New Studio Just Outside Abergavenny
Our new space in Llanover is cosy, comfortable and perfectly formed for the kind of relaxed, meaningful family photography we’re known for. It’s still equipped with everything we need to create beautiful portraits, but now with more breathing room – and a much easier parking experience for our clients!
Being just outside Abergavenny means we’re still very much part of the local community, but with a little more flexibility for families travelling in from further afield. Whether you’re coming from Monmouth, Usk, Raglan, or anywhere else in South Wales, our new studio is easy to reach and ready to welcome you.
Still Passionate About What Matters Most
While the studio is new, our focus hasn’t changed one bit. We’re still completely dedicated to creating timeless family portraits, from newborn photography and baby milestones to individual child portraits, family groups, and even the occasional four-legged friend. Yes, pet photography is very much still on the cards – and we love it when your dogs (or even cats!) become part of the story. Look at this tiny puppy!
Recently, we’ve been especially enjoying a rise in generation shoots – where grandparents, parents and children come together in one meaningful portrait. There’s something truly special about seeing three or even four generations together in one image, and these sessions are fast becoming some of our most treasured.
Welcoming Back Familiar Faces
One of the biggest joys of running a portrait photography studio for over a decade is seeing our families come back time and time again. We’ve had the pleasure of photographing babies who are now full of personality and starting school – and watching families grow year after year is an honour we never take for granted.
We love working with returning clients, and whether you’re updating your family photos or bringing along a new addition, we’re always here to make the experience feel relaxed, friendly and full of care.
Out and About Across Monmouthshire
While our studio is at the heart of what we do, we’re also out and about a little more these days. You’ll find us at local shows and exhibitions across Monmouthshire and South Wales this summer, including the Chepstow Show and the Usk Show. It’s a great way for people to meet us, see our work, and get a feel for what we do in person.
